1. General

These terms and conditions outline the business relationship between you, the user, and Carats Co Ltd.
1.2
By using our website in any way, or by buying from us, you agree to be bound by them.
1.3
By using this website you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or if you are not at least 18 years old, that you have the authority/consent of your parent or guardian to do so.
1.4
We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any such changes will take effect from when they are posted on the website (see date at the top) and it is your responsibility to read the terms and conditions on each occasion that you use this website. Your continued use of the website shall signify your acceptance to be bound by the latest terms and conditions.
2. Order Process
2.1
We shall accept confirm receipt of your order by email to the address you provided. The contract between you the purchaser and Carats Co Ltd shall only become binding once your good have been dispatched.
2.2
We may change our terms or prices from time to time. The terms or prices that apply to you are those shown here www.caratsjewellers.co.uk on the day you order.
2.3
Jewellery that is advertised may not always be available, so a suitable alternative may be offered or a refund provided.
2.4
In the case of refunds, we will credit your credit or debit card as soon as possible but in any event no later than 30 days from the date of receipt.
3. Delivery
3.1
Deliveries will be made by the Carrier to the credit card holder's address. Please ensure that someone is present to accept delivery.
3.2
As many of the items are bespoke or ordered in specific to your requirements, we shall endeavor to delivery your goods within 2 working weeks. If we are not able to dispatch your goods within 30 days of the date of your order, we shall notify you by e-mail to arrange another date for dispatch or provide you with the option of a refund or another product to the same value.
3.3
If it is not possible to dispatch your complete order (a number of items) at the same time then we will notify you with alternative dispatch arrangements.
3.4
This website is only for delivery of products to customers in the United Kingdom (including the outer British Isles) and Northern Ireland addresses.
3.5
Delivery charges and estimated timescales are specified when you place an order. We make every effort to deliver goods within the estimated timescales, however delays are occasionally inevitable due to unforeseen factors. Carats Co Ltd shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the products within estimated timescales. However, should we be unable to deliver your order within 60 days then a full refund will be provided.
3.6
Risk of loss and damage of products passes to you on the date when the products are delivered.
4. Privacy Policy
4.1
Carats Co Ltd is committed to safeguarding the absolute privacy of our users whilst providing the highest possible quality of service. We will only use lawfully collected information, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
4.2
Contract details will be stored by Carats Co Ltd once the transaction has been completed. These details will be permanently accessible to the purchaser.
4.3
Any information gathered from users will not be made available to any third parties whatsoever.
4.4
From time to time Carats Co Ltd may send you information which it thinks may be of interest to you.
5. Price and Payment
5.1
Payment must be made in full at the time of your order. Goods are subject to availability. In the event that we are unable to supply the chosen goods, we will inform you of this as soon as possible and you will be given the option of a refund, or the choice of a product of the same value.
5.2
Payment may be made using the following cards:
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Solo, Switch and Delta or through an online Paypal account.
5.3
All prices include VAT (where applicable) at the applicable current rates but exclude delivery charges, unless expressly stated. Standard delivery charges are £4.95 for each purchase.
6. Returns and Refunds
6.1
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase from Carats Co Ltd you can return the unworn goods within 30 days of receipt for either an exchange or refund.
If you should find the goods to be faulty, please contact Carats Co Ltd within 14 days of receipt. Carats Co Ltd will arrange for either a replacement to be sent or if not possible, arrange for a full refund. The faulty goods are requested to be returned before any further goods can be sent to you.
6.2
When returning goods the item/s needs to be, where possible, in their original packaging and be in an unused condition.
6.3
For your own benefit, when returning an item we suggest using Royal Mail Special Delivery to ensure proof of delivery and insurance on the goods whilst in transit.
6.4
The cost of any returns shall be borne by you.
6.5
Earrings cannot be returned due to health and safety laws.
6.6
Special orders or non standard items which are made to order are non-returnable unless the product has a manufacturing fault. This complies with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
6.7
You must inform Carats Co Ltd by email, fax or in writing should you wish to cancel any orders within 7 working days following receipt of your purchase.
6.8
Goods must be returned to Carats Co Ltd within 21 days following notification of the order being cancelled.
6.9
After we have received the return item, we will credit your credit or debit card with the full purchase price of the goods returned no later than 30 days from the date of receipt, assuming it is in its original state.
7. Content and Intellectual Property Rights for all users of the website

Title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in the content whether provided by us or by any other content provider shall remain at all times vested in us or our licensors (where appropriate). You are permitted to use this material only as expressly authorised by us
